Robert Brookins passed away .

Robert Brookins passed away .
He was 46.
I loved his husky voice and refined music that he created.
I feel so lonely when I think that I cannot listen to his new album anymore.
The lower photograph is the signature that I got from Robert after the Live of Philip Bailey outside livehouse.
It is remembered like the yesterday's thing.
I'm so sorry for that news.

Into My Soul

Into My Soul / Kirk Whalum (2003)

Kirk Whalum is well known as a sax player of smooth jazz, and also with the contest with many artists .
We often lay eyes on his name by various albums.

He has not come to winning a prize, but he has nominated for Grammy award 7 times.
I think evidence makes it certain of his ability and the popularity .

Maurice White parthicipated in his solo album!
We can listen to his unique voice in ”You Had Me At Hello ”。
After a harmony of a saxophone of Kirk Whalum and voice of Maurice White has caused a chemical change, a song is livened beautifully.

Maurice White

★ Maurice White (1984) (Reissu 2001)

Great leader of Earth, Wind & Fire, Maurice White!
His only solo album has not been introduced in my blog yet.

Released in 1984 by Maurice name of the album.
EWF sound like!
Maurice covered Ben E King's "Stand By Me" and it sounds different from original and also very funky !

There's a Ben's picture Ben in a jacket taken with Maurice.

I Need You" is a masterpieces of all many love songs.
As For high tone voice, EWF's Philip Bailey is rather focused to be on gathering liable, but Maurice's treble also beautiful!

Bonus tracks added to this original album and released in 2001.

Adventures Of The Heart (Demo) is probably teh original version of ” Open Your Heart To Love "
the last time I noticed.

But when I compare the both songs, thouge melody is similar but also has different atmosphere .
Which is a good song where the need to be changed?

However Adventures Of The Heart is a good lyrics!
Don't you think so?

1. Switch on Your Radio
2. Jamboree
3. Stand by Me
4. Sea of Glass
5. I Need You

2nd album of Kaita was under the production of Maurice White and Bill Meyers.
Maurice and Bill participated in all songs by an arrangement, but there are no songs offered this time.

It wasn't possible to find a favorite song for me.
The musical taste is different in person .

It seemed that Maurice White participated in a background vocal, but how many times I listened to all songs , I couldn't find his voice on earth .
If there was a person who knows the answer,
Please tell me!

Kaita

Kaita(1996)

The Japanese band formed with 6 menber centering on vocalist Kaita Nose.
I heard that they sent a demonstration tape to the overseas VIP producer one by one in case of every debut...,
Maurice White ,one of them, gave an interest in them.

We can see the pictures of Maurice White and members at the leaflet of this album.

Bill Meyers also jioned the production.
Maurice White and Bill Meyers concernd iwith Kaita in arrangement of all songs of this album.
But most of these songs are In Japanese taste.

I didn't get away to like so much except for 1 song.
But I infer that there are talented musicians because it's to the extent it's captivated by Maurice.

Only "Looking For Love"was the composition of Maurice and Bill.
Only this song fits my taste as expected, and I like very much!

Maurice White also participated in a background vocal in this song!
But I could't distinguish between Maurice's voice well in this song.

1. メロディ (Melody)
2. 寒い夜 (Cold Night)
3. ルッキング・フォー・ラヴ (Looking For Love)
4. 二十歳のソウル (Soul Of 20's)
5. 月の夜でもレゲエっぽく (Play Like Reggae Even In A Night In Moon)
6. いい感じ (Good Feeling)
7. 笑わずにきいて (Listen To Me Without Laughing)

Faces

Faces / Earth, Wind & Fire (1980)

A masterpiece of 2 record gang!
But a CD has a capacity larger than a record, so it's in 1 by a CD.
This album got at most 10th place of all-American album chart and Golden disc acquisition.
Maurice White's comment was introduced in the liner notes that
The name is different but same essentially, this is the time when a we approve that we're partaking under the sun.
We touch my company through that in a smile for the vibration which waxed to be gladdest at all places by the world.
This Maurice's message is flooding this album.

Volume as total of 15 songs of 2 set made it possible to gather great music of various approach in the theme of people.

I suppose they would like to play free from all cares to the sky because their former album was the composition which made the disco sound the center .
They didn't stick to the fashion at that time, I guess.
They seem to have recorded with the ability from except for members in more aggressively .

By the way "Faces" of an album title song...
This is to start with Japanese music of folk customs ,
But the rhythm isn't incongruous through the whole song, and it's novel and also cool!.
It's wonderful choice for Japanese.people
