Electric Universe

Electric Universe / Earth,Wind & Fire(1983)

This is the adventurous album completed by simple member composition.
They removed a horn section and aimed at the future sound more electrically.
This album differs from a EWF album to that in the atmosphere.
(I also like this album very much of course! )

The slow number which was inserted between the speedy and rough numbers is very beautiful.

A member came to put the emphasis on a solo campaign after this album release, and activity as EWF was becoming few.

Powerlight

Powerlight / Earth, Wind & Fire (1983)

Album of EWF that more electric element was incorporated!

It's also future and also mysterious.
I think it a a filled album to diversity with moist ballade is also inlaid.
A humanity can also be sensed deeply in the space thought of Maurice White, and it's the work from which a message can be received pleasantly.

The 12th place of billboard highest rank!
A record sales has fallen a little at this time.

By the way, the "Fall in Love with Me" single cut was done... I like this song very much! What is it, but it's regrettable that there are seldom cases tha when this is played-.

Raise!

Raise! Earth, Wind & Fire(1981)

This album starts from the "Let's Groove " everyone loves very much.
You can't separate a song of ear to the last 8 numbers .
Because a body hangs upon this music, and cuts rhythm, it would be able to say that this album is unsuitable for BGM.

Thrilling fusion of a powerful horn and an electric ring like vocoder is here.

" Wanna Be With You" got "Best R&B performance by a group" of Grammy.

Everybody Let's Groove!with this album!

Smooth Sax Tribute to Earth, Wind and Fire

Smooth Sax Tribute to Earth, Wind and Fire (2004)

This is the cover album of Earth,Wind & Fireperformed by Saxpone player Walter Chancellor!

While adapting importantly originally, he arranged more jazzy so that a saxophone might be emphasized.

A saxophone takes the lead insted of vocal.
And that sound of the saxophone is so comfortable!

It's deserted that there are no voice and performance of a EWF member of course, but it's an interesting album for a fan!

Live in Velfarre

Live in Velfarre (1998)

This is a Live source of the legend performed in Roppongi Velfarre on April 20th in 1995!
Roppongi Velfarre was the big disco in Japan.

There was live in Nippon Budokan on the next day, so it was EWF enjoyment by continuation for 2 days for me.

2 days were same mostly, but the played number was very different in audience's aerial sense.
Even though it was in huge disco , we could feel Earth,Wind & Fire around here right now more than usual ,my tension went up .

It was a luxurious experience that I could shake my body according to the groove of hit songs of EWF.

These CDs are the same contents, and something with the different title is sold a lot
such as Plugged in & Liveor Greatest Hits Live.

 / Stanley Clarke & George Duke (1989)

The 3rd album by a project of bassist Stanley Clarke and keyboard player George Duke with the deep friendship .

The ability of 2 people was crashed to 1 of some sophisticated thick contents!
This album is like jewelry box with beautiful melody and funky grooves!

The members of Earth,Wind&Fire were in the luxurious guests who participated.

The famous tune "Oh,Oh" was written by Robert Brookins with these 2 people.
Robert Brookins also participated in a keyboard.

Once listening, it's the simplicity you'll feel like humming immediately, but it's the powerful striking number.

Philip Bailey participated in "Mothership Connection" with vocal.

The fun work by which voices of luxurious guests intersects in a funky motif for this song.

Jerry Hey participated with a trumpet!
Anyway this song featured the voices of artists as follows///

Stanley Clarke,George Duke, Nduge Chancler, Philip Bailey,Darrel Cox, Carl Carwell,Phil Perry.

We can easily confirm the voice of Philip Bailey!

Singles III

Singles III / Noriko Sakai (2000)

This is the best album of Japanese 90's Idol singer Noriko Sakai .
There is a song Maurice White and Bill Meyers did write!
OH OH OH~We are the Winners~
OH OH OH~We are the winners
OH OH OH~We are the winners

This song was produced and released as the campaign song of J-League ,soccer association.
This song was written by Maurice White, Bill Meyers and Kumi Misawa.
Yasushi Akimoto took part of writing Japanese words.

The music is powerful and beautiful!
It's full of the uplifting feeling of running and passion.
The vicinity where a sub-melody is piled up on a back of the main melody.
The approach sounds like EWF..

They didn't participate in a performance, but this song must be listened for the EWF fan!

1. あなたが満ちていく
2. 笑顔が忘れられない
3. 誘われて…
4. OH OH OH~We are the Winners~

Tribute To Earth,Wind & Fire

Tribute To Earth,Wind & Fire / Lenny White(2004)

This is the great cover album of Earth,Wind & Fire performed by jazz drummer Lenny White.
Gorgeous participation member make us softly listen the famous piece of music of EWF.
To a considerably heavy jazz taste absent-mindedly.
It is a wonderful album that expresses the charm of the tune to its maximum by an air feeling different from the original.
