Avatar / Earth,Wind & Fire (1996)

Before "In The Name Of Love" was released,
this new album was sold prior to the world from Japanese Avex Trax.

Several songs of different song is featured by each .

" Take You to Heaven" and "Bahia" of an interlude are recorded in only this album.
"Take You to Heaven" is the transparent beautiful physical function-like number featured
high notes of Philip Bailey .

The song order is also different and these 2 are an indispensable album for a fan, aren't they?

The groove full of street sense as well as a conventional EWF sound were filled with this album by the contents such as emerging EWF.

" Love Is Life" the first single cut of Earth,Wind&Fire newly recorded and featured.
I think it meant the new biginning of their trip of new Earth,Wind & Fire!

Sheldon Reynolds took charge of lead vocal for the first time!

Maurice White, Philip Bailey, Sheldon Reynolds.
This is the only album that we can listen to these 3 vocals at once.

It's wonderful album indeed!

Millennium / Earth,Wind & Fire (1993)

This became near the original Earth,Wind & Fire sound differing from the album of the former work.
Still, there were also featured songs with elements of world music, jazz, blues.

This album recorded the eighth first rank place in the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums section.

New member's Freddie Ravel is greatly taken an active part.
We can enjoy the beautiful harmony of Philip Baiey and Maurice White in many songs here.

We can also experience the collaboration of Prince and EWF with "Super Hiro"!

Touch the World

Touch the World / Earth,Wind & Fire (1990)

That was the first time with this album that I listened the sound of EWF !
It's futuristic and stylish!
I like this album most in all albums in the whole world even now!

Allthough it was an album of EWF ,only few members participated in this.

Why is it?

Didn't a schedule match by an album of Earth,Wind&Fire after a long time and the relation of the solo work then?
Marice White,Philip Bailey, Sheldon Reynolds, Andrew Woolfolk, Bill Meyers

The limit by which credit is judged and the member who participates in recording, only these 5 people.
Verdine White was reflected on an album jacket, but Nathan East participated in all recording for a base imstead of Verdine.
But anyway I love this album so much!

Electric Universe

Electric Universe / Earth,Wind & Fire(1983)

This is the adventurous album completed by simple member composition.
They removed a horn section and aimed at the future sound more electrically.
This album differs from a EWF album to that in the atmosphere.
(I also like this album very much of course! )

The slow number which was inserted between the speedy and rough numbers is very beautiful.

A member came to put the emphasis on a solo campaign after this album release, and activity as EWF was becoming few.

Powerlight

Powerlight / Earth, Wind & Fire (1983)

Album of EWF that more electric element was incorporated!

It's also future and also mysterious.
I think it a a filled album to diversity with moist ballade is also inlaid.
A humanity can also be sensed deeply in the space thought of Maurice White, and it's the work from which a message can be received pleasantly.

The 12th place of billboard highest rank!
A record sales has fallen a little at this time.

By the way, the "Fall in Love with Me" single cut was done... I like this song very much! What is it, but it's regrettable that there are seldom cases tha when this is played-.

Raise!

Raise! Earth, Wind & Fire(1981)

This album starts from the "Let's Groove " everyone loves very much.
You can't separate a song of ear to the last 8 numbers .
Because a body hangs upon this music, and cuts rhythm, it would be able to say that this album is unsuitable for BGM.

Thrilling fusion of a powerful horn and an electric ring like vocoder is here.

" Wanna Be With You" got "Best R&B performance by a group" of Grammy.

Everybody Let's Groove!with this album!

Smooth Sax Tribute to Earth, Wind and Fire

Smooth Sax Tribute to Earth, Wind and Fire (2004)

This is the cover album of Earth,Wind & Fireperformed by Saxpone player Walter Chancellor!

While adapting importantly originally, he arranged more jazzy so that a saxophone might be emphasized.

A saxophone takes the lead insted of vocal.
And that sound of the saxophone is so comfortable!

It's deserted that there are no voice and performance of a EWF member of course, but it's an interesting album for a fan!

1. Shining Star
2. Reasons
3. Devotion
4. September
5. Can't Hide Love
6. Singasong
7. That's the Way of the World
8. Serpentine Fire
9. Let's Groove
10. Getaway
