Tender Togetherness

★ Tender Togetherness / Stanley Turrentine (1981)

When I checked the leaflet in this album, I nearly mistook and thought this was album of Earth,Wind&Fire!

The tenor sax player Stanley Turrentine was called the most expensive jazz musician with the highest guarantee after super hits of "Sugar"and"Cherry "

Many members of EWF paticipated in his album " Tender Togetherness".
This is really exciting album with full funk under the producion of Larry Dunn!
Let me intoduce the pesonals in this album as below.
Don't you think it's essense item that EWF fan must have?

Philip Bailey participated with back vocal and percussion in "Only You and Me".
This song futured lead vocal of Diann Reeves,
But if possible ,I wanted to listen with the lead vocal of Philip!
But if it was so, this sound like an album of EWF perfectly.

Famous tune "After the Love Is Gone " of Earth,Wind&Fire also recorded in this!.
The touch of tune is little different from the original , and it may be fun.

★ Never Too Far / Dianne Reeves(1990)

I heard that Dianne Reeves is said to be one of a present-day most important female jazz singer.
I have only 1 of her album, I was fascinated in its beauty of her voice and forcefulness.
She have got Grammy award 4 times!
What bright career is it!
This is her 4th solo alubum produced by Georege Duke .
Each of 10 songs is original and is the contents rich in a variety.

Philip Bailey participated in title song "Never Too Far" of by the back chorus!
Beautiful song of the gospel for which her beautiful vocal is conspicuous!

By the way, the "Fumilayo" taken in is also magnificent, and I like South African rhythm fairly!
It can't be said the album which can enjoy voice of Philip Bailey enough, but it's the excellent work in quality all songs indeed!

Just A Stone's Throw Away

Just A Stone's Throw Away / Valerie Carter (1977)

The 2nd solo album of Valerie Carter who had made many collaboration with various artists!

She's learned about by a category of a rock'n'roll, but the songs recorded in this album is expressive in various way!
She heal our ears and hearts with suitable way of singing from a ballade ,blues as well as a good song of up tempo tune.
I think it was from the relationship of the contest with the former artists, many big artists participated in this album !

Our Earth,Wind&Fire also participated in 2songs of this album.
They gave a happy groove to this album under Maurice White's produce.

Produce&Back Vocal/ Maurice White

"So, So, Happy" is a light and fun song.
When you listen to this, your heart soon gets to skip!

City Lights”is really the sound of EWF!
The song was writtten by EWF member and plyed with the beats of EWF on 70's!
If it was recorded in an album of EWF, it's so natural.

Comin' Atcha

Comin' Atcha / Cleopatra (1998)

3 sisters of teens at that time who have debuted in 1998.
This is their debut album.
I heard that they were the television program which made them a main character in UK..
Popularity of them were to the extent!

Every song in this album deserves to be an single cut.
The work was the really high percentage of completion.
I thought a big writers made songs, but most depended on their own work.
What a wonderful ability thay have!
Moreover it sounds so stylish!

Earth,Wind&Fire Horn participated in 3rd numbers of this album "Don't Suffer in Silence ".
Horns are

Ray Brown
Gary Bias
Reggie Young

Thay ring the grace note like EWF really.

By the way, the tarnish of this song was made with a motif.of "September"
A part of "Baa-eee-ahh-uh " is almost" Don't Suffer in Silence"in this song.,
But the feel of impression is quite different from "September".
If the lyrics of this melody weren't exites with " Baa-eee-ahh-uh ", maybe I didn't notice.that this is a motif of "September".
Excellent method of featuring motif.
I really recommend to listen to this ,especially for the people who loves the song "September"!
