It Is Love  / Sheldon Reynolds The Familey (2017)

 

Sheldon Reynolds was previously a vocalist and drummer for Earth, Wind & Fire. I really like his voice and I love his songs without exception! 

 I was really shocked when I learned that he had left EWF. 

 And also I feel sorry when I knew that he has the same Parkinson's disease as Maurice White. 

The release of this work while being deprived of physical freedom little by little. Unlike Maurice when he disappeared from the live, as long as he listens to the album, he is full of power and love. 

I sincerely hope that medicine will evolve and that the activities of this genius musician will not be taken away in the future. 

 While playing an active part on his own, he also really likes "Devoted Spirits", which he teamed up with Larry Dunn and Morris Plesure. 

Two of them also participated in the eighth song of this album, Interlude. 

EWF Horns also participated in EWF's masterpiece "Sing A Song"! 

The voice of his wife Marilyn Reynolds, who is featured this time, is also really wonderful! Touch Me placed at the end of the album seems to be listening to standard masterpieces. 

Everything is a masterpiece, just like an EWF album. 

This time, like Sheldon Reynolds The Familey, this is a superb album created with his family around him. 

It was released in advance in Japan ... 

It's a pity that it doesn't seem to be sold very widely. 

I'm looking forward to his next album.

As I expected, many members of  Earth and Wind & Fire had participated in.

I supposed that was this!
The album John Paris told me at the backstage of Japan Tour.
Saying many menbers of EWF was going to attend the album of the initial"L"artist.

However, it is regrettable that John Paris ,who taught the information, had not participated.


Many sounds with a cool and sufficient parenthesis which incorporated vocal music moderately .
I really got excited !

The Upside

The Upside　/ Victoria White（2008）

The Album of Victoria White released from Kalimba Record was Excellent!

Most of music depends on her work, and She also did make up with many musical instruments personally.

It's her correctness, but the pace of the warm voice seems to give us cure.

The futuristic slow number is a center, but a song of the states-type was being recored.
The album leads new discovery one after another every time you listen to.

Surprisingly, such her first album was produced by Sheldon Reynolds!

He also paticipated in all song of this album with a guitar, keyboard and a drum.
6th numbers named "Forgiven" was written by Victoria and Sheldon,
 The tune is quiet and beautiful in order as expected from the title .

It's a very valuable wonderful album for fans of Sheldon Reynolds, but the dissatisfaction I felt was that I wanted to listen tohis vocal more!

Even in 9th ,"Something" we can listen to his really beautiful backing chorus!
By the way, Brian Culbertson participated with the deep friendship with Sheldon with piano in "Keep On"!

FRONTIER

Maurice White produced two songs of the ninth album of Japanese feamale singer Kaoru Kohiruimaki.
"Danjerin Moonlight"and "Frontier".

All these two pieces are absolutely cool in these albums!

Tangerine moonnight　thrill us with the danceable melody .
Though "Frontier" is the magnificent number with beautiful melody ,Japanese words does not come enough nicely.
Anyway, this album is the one that all EWF fan must have.

This is Debut album of Devoted Spirits!
Collaboration of these 3 people enrolled in Sheldon Reynolds, Larry Dunn, Morris Plesure.

It consists of it forcusing on the numbers of the famous tune of Earth Wind and Fire.

Everything is speedy and fresh for a sophisticated arrangement.

It's as far as I'm happy, that it can be satisfied with a vocal of Sheldon Reynolds to the fullest.
There was songs Sheldon Reynolds took a lead vocal for an album of Earth,Wind & Fire, but... the album we can listen to his vocal all the while was the first .


Maurice White also participated with vocal in "Stand Up Now "!

 10th solo album of smooth jaz artist, Brian Culbertson. Ｉwas so surprised when I saw the participation member of this album!

Many members of Earth,wind & Fire are in!

Ｉ was so surprised again when I listened the sounds of this album!

So Funky and cool! The melodies which makes dear feel at the same time.

Those beats have the magic sinking in in mind comfortably.

Brian Culbertson also shows a vocal in addition to a keyboard and a trumpet.

The refreshing interesting vocal quality. 10tｈ numbers 、 "Let's Stay in Tonight" is the song which develops in the motif of the tarnish of the "September" of EWF.

You have to listen to it! Maurice White is an excective Producer of this album!

This group was forimed by 3 ex-members of Earth,Wind & Fire.
Sheldon Reynolds, Larry Dunn, Morris Plesure.

Though last album was full of cover of Earth,Wind &Fire,
this time,all of this album is original tune.
I really like the voice of Sheldon Reynolds!
The music is full of variations from an EWF-like thing to the thing which is not so.
