Philip Bailey confessed that when he felt the exsitence of the God,
He couldn't stop his tears overflowing.

He determined to release Gospel album from label to express love,
During the interval of EWF activity.

Historical Gospel Album which super star of Soul music released.
These melodies were popular but at the same time ,holy.

I supposed this album had helped to spread inside the teaching of God to all the people.

Philip Bailey moved gospesl more familiar.
Musicians from another cateory joined
Like related artists like Skip Scarborugh, Don Myrick and more.

For  almost all songs, Paulinho Da Costa and Carl Carwell participated.
They were like a member of EWF.

I did't know that Ralph Johnson participated in the song writing of "Go" in this album.
Also The Phenix Horns were in with horns and backvocal.

Produced by Phil Collins featuring smash hit "Easy Lover"
The lineup of this album is various.
Slow ballade pulled out the charm of a beautiful falsetto of Philip Bailey fully,
and up-tempo musical pieces  made us funky!

Maximum hit album of Philip got the 2nd place at Billboard Hot 100.
And also got the gold record by RIAA in March in 1985.

Among them "Colors In Space"was really like the one of EWF.

Ramlee used to play trumpet @ " Phinixs　Horns"well known as former horns of
Earth,Wind & Fire.

After they left EWF, they got together with Pill Collins.

This solo works of Ramlee featured some members of EWF.

In this album, although slow melodious music is in the mainstream, the up-tempo ethnic music is also contained.

It is the one which deliver us various expression of the trumpet .

I did't know that he also performs a song!
His voice has a charm astringent enough.

The album appropriateｄ for this time which arranged refreshing slow number and disco sound happily. !
I think it's full of quite nice songs, they wouldn't make a hit.I But I'm afraid they wouldn't make a hit!
Although,Bobby Nunn released some solo works later.

Philip Bailey did also participate in 2 songs of writing!
Also... Don Myrick participated with SAX in "Splendorland"!
Conga and Percussion, Syndrum was also played by Philip Bailey!

Anita Baker was a lead singer of Chapter 8・
But belonging recordmaker went bankrupt, in 1983, from Beverly Glenn, she got solo debut!
She became famous as the force party singer who has remarkable singing ability, you know!
EWF members participated in her second solo album .

Gary Bias participated in song production in the single "Sweet Love" that a hit was recorded.
It's catchy and asleep!
I really recommend this album.

This album records the 2nd place in all Britain and the 8th place in the U.S.
Including the smash hit ”You Can't Hurry Love ”originally recorded by Diana Ross & The Supremes.

It is a wonderful album from which the balance is often mixed with the response and motion.

British rock star Phil Collins is well known with many hit songs.
"Easy Lover" duet song of he and Philip Bailey also made a big hit!
But I didn't know that he had career of playing an active part as an actor.

This album is his first solo album which should be commemorated after he got out from Genesis.

I think, maybe it was necessary that this made a hit with these sophisticated songs, and his singing ability .

It contains various tune from cool to hot ,sometimes.
In this album, Earth,Wind & fire Horns at that time participated !

Salongo / Ransey Lewis (1976)



I heard that " Salongo" means to creates something beautiful by the loved words in Zairian words."....

This is the 2nd version album that Maurice White produced his master Ramsey Lewis!
As the title, something beautiful was created neatly.


Though he put jazz in the center axis, the rhythm which sounds like Africa and Brazil was being taken in.

There was also thrilling sequence done throbbingly.

The gentle ring you can make purify of anxiety at the heart also exists.

A combination of Maurice White and Ramsey Lewis did the big creation !

Anyway a ring of a piano of Ramsey sounds like person's voice.
It's whispered quietly, and made feeling conceited, and... the feeling = heart is being transmitted from its sound perfectly.

Tender Togetherness

When I checked the leaflet in this album, I nearly mistook and thought this was album of Earth,Wind&Fire!

The tenor sax player Stanley Turrentine was called the most expensive jazz musician with the highest guarantee after super hits of "Sugar"and"Cherry "

Many members of EWF paticipated in his album "　Tender Togetherness".
This is really exciting album with full funk under the producion of Larry Dunn!
Let me intoduce the pesonals in this album as below.
Don't you think it's essense item that EWF fan must have?

Philip Bailey participated with back vocal and percussion in "Only You and Me".
This song futured lead vocal of Diann Reeves,
But if possible ,Ｉ　wanted to listen with the lead vocal of Philip!
But if it was so, this sound like an album of EWF perfectly.

Famous tune "After the Love Is Gone " of Earth,Wind&Fire also recorded in this!.
The touch of tune is little different from the original , and it may be fun.

She's learned about by a category of a rock'n'roll, but the songs recorded in this album is expressive in various way!
She heal our ears and hearts with suitable way of singing from a ballade ,blues as well as a good song of up tempo tune.
I think it was from the relationship of the contest with the former artists, many big artists participated in this album !
