The pianist who attracts attention in the Soul Funk field still now.
The next release work of "Brinnging Back To The Funk" of Brian Culbertson are here.
It is the recording of the studio live where visitors were not there.
Although a spectator's heat is not felt,
We can listen to skilled cool performance!
Songs in this album was recorded on the past album except "Go". Sheldon Reynolds played together with Brian as a guitarist & also background vocalist.
I really Love Sheldon Reynolds 's Voice and Play!
① Get It On
② l Always Remember
③ Do You Really Love Me?
④ Come To Me
⑤ Go
⑥ All About You
⑦ Hookin' Up
⑧ Let's Get It Started
⑨ On My Mind
⑩ Back In The Day
⑪ So Good
⑫ Our Love
The latest album for the first time in seven years!
No matter how much my having longed for this time !
19 pieces of collecting that the Japanese version has more two pieces than an original edition. (a copy control CD)
As for "All In The Way" done single cut of, Wanda Vaughn of Emotions and Maurice is in charge of Lead Vocal.
The collaboration of their voices is so nice!
Latin music "NEVER"(rare for ewf) is the music that was suitable in summer .
Hold Me and" Betcha'" of the love song flutter a heart.
And it is "Suppose You Like Me" to be nicer for me!
There is a name of Jerry Hey as Horn Arrange.
Philip Bailey took lead vocal、and Background Vocals are///
Robert Brookins,Fred White、David Whitworth
The old and the new splendid members performance!
Though Robert and David played an active parts in the as one of the singers; the track on CD of EWF is rare!
Still, I am interested in a person = Gregory Curtis which an indiscriminate name appears in this album.
EWF's first Christmas album!
Winter Wonderland is really cool.
I wish I had released this song as a single ...
I was surprised that the old Japanese song Yuki and Konkon were included.
The Album that a body moves unintentionally
A feeling slightly different from the conventional EWF sound with a guest Hammer and Sly Stone.
Contains singles,"”For The Love Of You""Wanna Be The Man"
International version of "AVATAR"released in 1996 from AVEX,Japan.
Music order, the number of the music are different, and there is the track which is not recorded in each.
When Love Goes Wrong" is not collected in "Avatar".
This is a beautiful ballad to remind of "After The Love Has Gone".
In one another "Avatar", two pieces of" Change Your Mind" and "Take You To Heaven"are only as for this album.
Love Is Life is re-recording of music recorded in debut album" EARTH, WIND &FIRE" .
I think that they chose the music of the debut album being aware of new life EWF daringly.
Sheldon Reynolds works with several pieces as a lead singer for the first time
All first group of two pieces album ... 15 songs.
Let Me Talk was done single cut of, but did not do it by such the hit.
However ・ ・ I think all of them is so splendid music!; ...
As for "Faces" of the title music,I was glad that a motif such as the Japanese Bon festival dance gives glory to introduction .
A feeling of the megaflick
The album which begins in "Let's Groove" of a knowing super hit !
Contains such as essesal songs in live,”Kalimba Tree"”Wanna Be With You".
It is an album of the wonderful result!
That let sound and Horne of the tip of those days fuse!
I love”Fall In Love With Me"”Side By Side"、"Miracles"are also my fovorite!
One piece that is the ecstasy that a feeling of speed and presence of mind are provided at the same time.
In fact, I love it though it may not be a good album of much reputation among the Japanese EWF fans!
The reason is because an image of Maurice to a newer sound differed to some extent that a past EWF fan expects it, and quality does not have the problem at all!
Though it is unprecedented futuristic melody, the voice of Maurice goes along with it well.
Because I had bought this album carelessly, I have fallen.
A black hole to EWF CRAZY!
This is the best album for me.
A new work for the first time in those days six years. These ten pieces of all is messages to the modern society for adult .
Contains "Thinking Of You""System Of Survival""Evil Roy"
The fourth piece "You And I" has a heart numb.
A voice of Philip lets people knowing all love melt away.
2nd Best album!
Turn On which is a movie sound track appears as album non-collecting music this time
However, because, as for three pieces, there was non-collecting last time.
The hits on parade that were not recorded in last best album!
The debut album that you should memorialize!
”Love Is Life” of this inside is registered in" In The Name Of Love" again in 1997 .
It is only this that the same music was recorded except the best album of EWF.
A member joins from this album.Philip Bailey ,Ralph Johnson.
After all the voice of Philip is beautiful!
Power is well used in live, it is happy and strong music!
It is a sound track CD of movie "That's The Way Of The World"! This album which begins in first No. 1 single "Shining Star".
Though the movie did not make a hit, this album makes a big hit!
It is the famous tune full loading that is sung in live even now.
The first LIVE album. The new song records it abundantly, besides, too!
You can listen to the EWF version of such songs!
Ramsey Lewis's”Sun Godness"and Emotions's ”Sunshine"
The album which was given to Charles Stepney which supported late EWF in this year.
Spirit recalls a solemn impression.
Contains the big hit"Getaway"
There is a number named "Earth,Wind & Fire"in this album.
There will be many people putting up this album for EWF work No. 1.
”Fantasy""Runnin'"”Love's Holiday"”Jupitar"……
It is an album with much music that it knows without with a fan.
The EWF first BEST version!
Contains "Got To Get To Into Your Life""Love Music""September" which is not collected in an original album.
The best album having a new song is fun!
Contains famous ballad "”After The Love Has Gone"written by David Foster, Jay Gradon ,Bill Champlin.
Also contains ”Boggie Wonderland "with Emotions""In The Stone"
The album which wears well even if I listen to it how many times.
Firstly ,when I knew this news that Earth,Wind & Fire was going to release a Christmas album.
Secondly, when I hear some Japanese sentence from the standard for kids"Yukiya konnkonn"
Thirdly , when my soul was so moved to dance with funky cover "Winter Wonderland "
Anyway this is the historical issue of EWF.
Who imagined that EWF released season album?
EWF arranged traditional tunes in the style of EWF and added holy and funky.
Special Event starts with "Joy to the World " full of the live feeling featuring a shout of Philip.
"Somebody Clap Your Hands"
I felt like being in front of stage covered with Christmas Illumination.
There included 2 songs of EWF.
"Happy Seasons "(Happy Feelin') and "December (September)
I wondered how these great songs change before I listened to...
But I got disapointed.
They only put the portion of "Happy Season' into "Happy Feelin'" as the portions of September were changed into December.
These 2 songs should not be featured, I thought.
The CM music which changed "System of Survival" into the Coca Cola,
That was further fresher.
However, I really got satisfied with other songs.
They were beautiful and surprising enough to spend wonderful season.
Especially. "Winter Wonderland "
During the season last year, this song was always on played in my brain.
1. Joy to the World
2. Happy Seasons
3. Oh Come All Ye Faithful
4. Winter Wonderland
5. What Child Is This?
6. Away In a Manger
7. The Little Drummer Boy
8. Every Day Is Like Christmas
9. The First Noel
10. Sleigh Ride
11. Snow
12. Jingle Bell Rock
13. December

I did't know this song even though I owe 4 versions of "Illumination"
There exsits some versions of this album.
But 4 CDs I have don't featured this.
I found it at youtube,
It says Unreleased track from Illumination sessions.
Let me share.
I did't know that Ralph Johnson participated in the song writing of "Go" in this album.
Also The Phenix Horns were in with horns and backvocal.
Produced by Phil Collins featuring smash hit "Easy Lover"
The lineup of this album is various.
Slow ballade pulled out the charm of a beautiful falsetto of Philip Bailey fully,
and up-tempo musical pieces made us funky!
Maximum hit album of Philip got the 2nd place at Billboard Hot 100.
And also got the gold record by RIAA in March in 1985.
How about you to take this CD out of shelf and listen it after a long time?
featuring The Phenix Horns
Backing Vocals on 3,7,8
Sax solo by Don Myrick on 5
Trumpet solo by Michel Harris on 9
also featuring Louis Satterfield
Larry Dunn was original member of Earth, Wind & Fire as a keyboardist .
I feel happy that he sometimes appear at the recording of EWF still now.
His solo project is the historical master piece.
The beautiful melody which he plays charms our heart always.
Many members of EWF gathered for this album.
Though I did't get which music and which members were in,
cause of no nortification.
Al McKay / Gutitar Ronnie Laws / Saxphones Ralph Johnson / Drums Louis Satterfield, Don Myrick, Micheal Harris, Luiso,
Elllis Holl, Carl Caewell, Domiq Satterfield / vocals
I've been so lucky that I could get this Delightful compilation album !
This was great present for EWF fans like me
who collect the items which members of EWF joined.
Although it is in a title with "THE SPIRIT OF EARTH WIND & FIRE",
original music of EWF were not featured at all.
The rare works that the members of EWF participated were taken up.

①③⑦⑩
Although it gave somewhat lonesome that I could't listen to neither their voice nor a performance ,
This Is the one of my favorite albums.
Especially "”Movin' On ”.
The newest album of Sheldon Reynolds was released is on MP3 download .
I rather want get this album as CD with booklet but this format is the only way to listen.
Several hit songs of EWF are included, however other songs were his original.
It made me happy coz I really love his original.
It is of course that I love original performance of Earth,Wind & Fire.
But sometimes ,different versions of familiar songs sounds fresh to our ears.
If I tried to use EWF CDs as back ground music with the task going.
Soon I could't stop my leg taking a step 2 dance.
It is the better choice to listen without vocal when you have something to do.
There exsists many covers of Earth,Wind & Fire's music.
"Thinking of You "was first to me.
1. September
2. After the Love Has Gone
3. Reasons
4. That's the Way of the World
5. Can't Hide Love
6. Fall in Love with Me
7. Thinking of You
8. Fantasy
9. Love's Holiday
10. All About Love
The album's title track "Power" is a contemporary instrurmental piece with a blendof old melodies and young rhythms that work together to make same fine listening.
Track2, "Song for Marvin" ,is a beauriful tribute to Marvin Gaye that captures the essence of both Marvin's music and his outlook on life. The musicians did a wonderful job of painting a musical picture that evokes the spirit of Marvin's music.
Track3, "Franny Boo",is a track with an infections melody and a haunting sub melody
which is very pleasing to the ears and "Move Me, Grrove Me" is a foot stomping, finger snapping R&B/ Jazz piecethat is sure to get you up on your feet dancing.
The band is named "Xpresson" because when all five menbers of the band come together to play it is a true expression of their musical cohersion.
The music on this record is the result of the collaboration between very accomplished musicians, it is rooted in classic R&B with jazz undercurrents tailored for commerical appeal. It covers all the bases, it's energetic, sincere and
sensitive. I hope you like it as I have enjoyed helping whit its creation.
I quoted the introductory essay of Maurice White of this CD jacket.
this product as an Excective Producer.
Though there were no tittle which Maurice wrote himself.
But It was full of fascinating chorus.
Nice and Slow.
① Power (Remix)
② Song For Martin
③ Frannie Boo
④ Can't Be Fated
➄ Chasin' The Wind
⑥ For Lovers In
⑦ Brand New / Heaven
⑧ Flowers For Teri
⑨ Move Me Groove Me
⑩ Can't Be Fated (Remix)
⑪ Power
There was a notation on the back of a jacket .
Special thanks to Earth, Wind & Fire Hone Section.
As I expected, many members of Earth and Wind & Fire had participated in.
I supposed that was this!
The album John Paris told me at the backstage of Japan Tour.
Saying many menbers of EWF was going to attend the album of the initial"L"artist.
However, it is regrettable that John Paris ,who taught the information, had not participated.
Many sounds with a cool and sufficient parenthesis which incorporated vocal music moderately .
I really got excited !

The following stars also played with EWF together!
This is the first time in their history that their leader Maurice White did not participate.
I felt different impression from other albums of EWF.
Although there was guidance that this album was aimed at starting point revolution of EWF .
But I felt different impression from other albums.
Maybe It was because of absense of Maurice.
It was like solo album of Philip Bailey.
the solo album of Philip Bailey in the extension of his solo album "Love Is Real"...
The profound harmonies and beats sound like EWF,
But Something was different.
Except up-beated song like "Sign On"or "Dance Fllor"
They were the music of the type which takes to it little by little when they're listened repeatedly.
However, of course, it is really my favorite album!

The science-fiction movie with the story taking place in the moon in 2087.
It is so Boring movie!
Theater opening to the public wsn't done in Japan.
It was nominated for 5 classes of the worst work prize of Golden raspberry prize, the worst actor prize, the worst director prize, the worst script prize and the worst screen couple prize! ,What the heroic achievement ?
It's the movie which became the topic of conversation by the different meaning,.
I really wonder why Eddy Murphy got an offer of this movie,
It'll be a failed cause of such kind of movie, the sound track with which special Earth,Wind&Fire participated wasn't CD-ized.
Don't you think it quite wasteful ...?
2 songs of EWF were featured in this film.

I borrowed this DVD by rental, and I recorded the part where a song was played.
"Why" is collected in "The Promise",
but "Fun & Free" can be listened only by this movie.
This song is played by the last end title.
The speedy song with rap made the future bold.
A modern EWF sound.
Even if It's boring, but this DVD is worth buying it (Or borrowed?) to listen to this song!
Routes/ Ramsey Lewis (1980)
feat. Earth,Wind & Fire
This is one of historical album that Ramsey Lewis and EWF got together .
From the bigginning, electro piano of Ramsey Lewis lightly pursue scats of Maurice White and John Lind in "Whisper Zone" .
And It easily takes us to the world of them.
Larry Dunn took part in writting in 5 songs.
Among them "Colors In Space"was really like the one of EWF.
I was excited!
Precious sound source in which Earth,Wind & Fire members of those days have participated !
Fan of EWF have to have it!

Breakdown/ Paulinho Da Costa (1991)
feat.Philip Bailey
Paulinho Da Costa is the great percussionist born in Brazil and playing all over the world.
One of the most famous artists of percussion.
He did sessions over 1000times with many artists in many genre .
Also he has released many solo albums .
Paulinho's name could be seen at the credits of some albums of Earth,Wind & Fire.
I am a captive at his happy beat since I first listened to his solo "Happy People"
In this album, special guest appeard with beautiful sound. Philip Bailey.
In the 1st song of this,"Say It Now, "Freedom"
Although the lead vocals were shared by three singers,
Jimmy Varner, Dartyle Phinnnesse, and Peter Canda,
but the turn of Philip Bailey was prepared perfectly
And his high-pitched tone voice was heaping up music!
I felt like dancing in many way while I listen to.
With mix of the bright African & American rhythm involuntarily!
The great album certainly did provide me some energy!
